BEIJING — The All-China Women's Federation announced on Oct 24 that it would honor 311 female individuals and 200 groups from across China as national-level role models for their contributions to the country.

Covering a wide range of fields, the individual winners include volleyball player Zhu Ting, Academy of Military Sciences researcher He Yuanzhi, island guardian Wang Shihua, poverty-alleviation official Leng Juzhen. Meanwhile, the critical care medicine department of the Beijing Ditan Hospital affiliated with the Capital Medical University, is among the groups accorded the honor.

The federation called on the honorees to make greater contributions to coordinating epidemic containment with economic and social development.

It also encouraged women nationwide to learn from the role models and work tirelessly to realize the Chinese dream of national rejuvenation.
