The Chinese government website launched the 2021 "Share your ideas with China's Premier" initiative on Dec 1, in cooperation with 21 online platforms, including Xinhua and People's Daily, as well as the websites of local governments and related departments.

This event, aimed at encouraging netizens to offer suggestions about government work and improve policy-making, will continue through the 2021 two sessions.

The initiative covers 13 topics, such as China's business environment, economy and trade, COVID-19 prevention and control, consolidating achievements of poverty alleviation, innovation and digitalization, work in China, environmental protection, and cultural exchanges. Internet users can leave a message on the website, english.www.gov.cn, or on its app, and other partnership platforms. Some of the messages will be submitted to the draft team of the Government Work Report, and forwarded to regional governments or relevant departments.

This is the seventh consecutive year of the event. In 2020, nearly 1,400 suggestions were submitted to the Government Work Report draft team.
