BEIJING — Over 80,000 Chinese families of migrant workers have taken part in a program aiming to strengthen their awareness of child guardianship and communication with their kids left behind in the rural areas.
The 100th event of this kind this year was held on Dec 5, also marking the 300th event since the program was launched in 2018.
These events were held in construction sites across 31 provincial regions of the country.
Migrant workers at the construction sites can learn about relevant policies and laws, as well as child guardianship, family communication and safety knowledge, by taking part in the publicity program.
They were also encouraged to become volunteers of the program and tell more co-workers to shoulder the responsibilities of guardianship when they were working away from their children.
