BEIJING — The China Council for the Promotion of International Trade has launched more than 300 online trade fairs this year to help steady foreign trade amid the COVID-19 pandemic, a Chinese official said on Dec 17.
The council also organized nearly 1,000 online training sessions for about 900,000 people to help businesses participate in the joint construction of the Belt and Road, Feng Yaoxiang, an official with the council, told a press conference.
A forum will be held in the city of Shenzhen, in South China's Guangdong province, on Dec 20 to encourage China's listed companies to participate in the joint construction of the Belt and Road, he said.
On Dec 15, the council said China has launched a new online platform to facilitate investment into the country.
Overseas investors can get a better understanding of China's business environment, investment policies and specific project information via the website www.investchinaccpit.com, the council said.
