A movie titled 1921, one of the key art pieces saluting the Communist Party of China at the centenary of its founding, will be shown across the country from July 1, the information office of the Shanghai government said on June 19.
Ticket presales of the movie about the CPC founding have started and the film will be previewed at selected cinemas from June 25 to June 27.
The premiere of the movie will mark the grand opening of the 24th Shanghai International Film Festival on June 11.
Huang Jianxin, director of 1921, said he made the movie to "tell the story about the passionate youth of China in 1921 to the young audiences of 2021".
A trailer released on June 19 shows that the movie restores the times and the key figures and displays the necessity and urgency of the founding of the Party.
Many people commented online that they will watch the film and some said they will take their children along for a vivid class of the history.
"I'll take my child to the cinema to watch this movie in the summer holiday so that he'll know that the peaceful and blissful life today comes from the dedications of many ancestors. This will encourage the young generation to carry on the mission for the motherland," said an internet user going by the name of Xiaohai.
