HOHHOT — Hohhot, capital of North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, reported 18 new locally transmitted confirmed COVID-19 cases between midnight on Feb 18 and 2 pm on Feb 19, according to a press conference.

As of 2 pm, 86 local confirmed cases have been registered in the city during the latest resurgence. All are receiving medical treatment under quarantine, with two in critical condition.

The city launched its second mass nucleic acid testing for key areas at 3 pm.

Further epidemiological investigations and source tracing are under way.
