A major fashion week is taking place in the city of Qingdao, East China’s Shandong province. Let’s check out the latest designs from the ongoing Qingdao Fashion Week.

World designers are descending upon the city of Qingdao to showcase their latest inspirations in 25 catwalk shows. One of which, on April 26, focused on bringing a chic look to traditional designs, such as watercolor patterns and ones found on traditional Chinese robes.

And shows like this are influencing children’s attire more and more. This year many of their designs got a new twist, in merging the modern with the traditional.

These two little models are just five year olds, while this gentleman here is already 82. He is what many might call a late bloomer.

“I started modeling when I was 70 years old, and now my schedule is packed with events, I think it has really improved my overall well-being,” said Li Fuxing, a model.

A haute couture showcase is being held in parallel with the Fashion Week at the Qingdao International Convention Center. The quality designs have attracted professional designers and fashionistas alike.

The Qingdao Fashion Week is now into its 15th year. A major feature this year is the amount of budding talents who are coming online with their creative designs.
