BEIJING — Officials from China and US have begun annual talks on law-enforcement cooperation in Beijing on Dec 3.

On the agenda at the two-day China-US Joint Liaison Group are anti-corruption, asset forfeiture, cybercrime, intellectual property rights and counternarcotics efforts. The discussions are also expected to generate some measures on legal cooperation, after both nations last month signed the Beijing Anti-Corruption Declaration at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit.

“The two nations might have different focuses and expectations from the meeting, but should work closely together to pursue common interests and lay a solid foundation for more cooperation,” says Liu Zhenmin, vice-foreign minister.
