Highlights from China's National Day celebrations

China held a grand celebration with a military parade on Oct 1, the National Day, to mark the founding of the People's Republic of China (PRC) in 1949.

The parade features 59 formations and a military band, including more than 160 aircraft and 580 pieces of equipment.
