For more reaction to Premier Li Keqiang's Government Work Report, CGTN spoke with deputies of the National People's Congress (NPC) and members of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and asked them what impressed them most.

Vincent Mo, CPPCC member and chairman of Fang.com said: "The detailed fiscal and monetary policies in the work report, which aim to support small and medium-sized enterprises and companies and entities, that's really important, especially during this pandemic period, because the small and medium-sized enterprises support mostly the employment of the Chinese people and employment is so important for everything."

Wang Jiapeng, NPC deputy and chairman of United World College Changshu China, said: "It was a very encouraging work report, delivered by Premier Li Keqiang. As a deputy myself, and many others, we share the same encouragement that even though the nation is facing one of the most difficult times, with COVID-19 very badly at the beginning of the year, as a nation led by strong leaders and government, we believe that we are backed up with an extremely well-organized government."

Zhu Tongyu, CPPCC member and president of Shanghai Public Health Clinical Center, said: "This is a very impressive government report. This is a special Two Sessions held at a special historical time in our country. Our country is facing unprecedented risks and challenges, with major changes amid the international situation brought by the COVID-19 pandemic. However, we have a solid economic foundation, huge market potential, and the diligence and wisdom of our people. So we firmly believe that although we face challenges, China will be able to develop very well."
