Engineering technicians have conducted an accurate measurement on a high-speed railway under construction in northern China with the help of China's BeiDou Navigation Satellite System (BDS-3). Technicians from China Railway Fifth Survey & Design Institute and Wuhan University have measured the 49.6-km track of Chaoyang-Shunyi section of the Beijing-Shenyang high-speed railway, marking the first engineering application of BDS-3 in high-speed railway construction after the system's official commissioning in late July.
