In China, a new section of the Beijing-Harbin high-speed railway has finally been put into operation. The Beijing-Shenyang line was under construction for more than half a decade. It applies some of China's cutting-edge technological innovations to speed up travel between the Chinese capital and the country's northeast. The trains travel at a top speed of 300 km/h.
