China's first super-large three-anchor buoy observation platform was put into operation earlier this month, said the Institute of Oceanology under the Chinese Academy of Sciences (IOCAS). The platform was deployed in the East China Sea on Jan 14, officially joining the country's network of offshore marine observation and research.
