With less than 100 days to go before the Beijing Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games, organizers met the media on Nov 26 to outline the progress made on barrier-free construction.
So far, all barrier-free facilities at the Games' competition venues have been completed, meeting the service needs of the disabled. Work on elevators, toilets, guest rooms and locker rooms has ended while upgrading of other related facilities is underway. The goal is to provide an environment that enables independent functioning without any assistance.
