In 2021, China's investment maintained recovery momentum, with much larger scale and more optimized structure, playing an important role in optimizing supply structure, enhancing supply quality and fixing weak links.
The fixed-asset investment went up 4.9 percent year-on-year to over 54.45 trillion yuan ($8.63 trillion) last year, data from the National Bureau of Statistics showed.
The foreign direct investment into the Chinese mainland, in actual use, expanded 14.9 percent year-on-year to a record high of 1.15 trillion yuan, while the outbound direct investment increased by 2.2 percent year-on-year to 936.69 billion yuan.
