The latest China Import and Export Fair will open in a week's time. It's popularly known as The Canton Fair and usually takes place in Guangzhou. But this time, it will be an online-only event due to the increase in COVID-19 infections across the country. Exhibitors will live-stream their products and interact in virtual reality showrooms.

On April 7, organizers hosted an online matchmaking event - home appliance manufacturers from Guangdong province and Anhui province were introduced to prospective importers in Nordic countries. It's the first of 50 events aimed at connecting leading multinationals with China's key industrial clusters. Organizers say more than 25,000 companies are expected to take part in the ten-day virtual Canton Fair.
