China is developing the prototype sample of the country's first space telescope Xuntian, or Chinese Survey Space Telescope, also known as the Chinese Space Station Telescope (CSST).

As the optical cabin of China's Space Station (CSS), the 10-metric-ton, bus-sized space telescope has an aperture of 2 meters and state-of-the-art detectors and will be launched after the space station's construction is completed.
