BEIJING — The general offices of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and the State Council have published a new guideline to speed up the building of the country’s public legal service system.
Noting that public legal services are an important measure to improve people’s living standards, the guideline has put forth general principles, main objectives and specific requirements for developing the system.
A modern public legal service system, which is convenient, efficient, equal, inclusive and covers both urban and rural areas, is expected to be set up by 2022, according to the guideline.
A system that matches a rule-of-law country, government and society is expected to be established by 2035, it said.
