In a circular issued to the China Securities Regulatory Commission, the State Council announced adjustments in regulation concerning companies registered in China and listed abroad.
According to the circular released on Oct 22, the notice period of convening general meetings of shareholders, shareholders’ proposal rights and requirements for convening procedures will comply with the Company Law of the People’s Republic of China, rather than articles 20 to 22 in the State Council’s special provisions concerning limited stock companies issuing and listing stocks abroad.
