BEIJING — Teachers are advised to wear medical masks in class after primary and middle schools reopen in China as part of the country's novel coronavirus prevention and control efforts, according to a circular issued by authorities.
Released by the State Council's joint prevention and control mechanism against the virus, the circular carries a number of epidemic prevention and control technical plans tailored for organizations and venues of various kinds.
Prior to their opening, schools should train their staff on epidemic prevention and control measures, as well as personal protection knowledge and skills, carry out preventive disinfection of facilities and have relevant supplies like hand sanitizer in stock, according to the technical plan for primary and secondary schools.
Calling for intensified disinfection and ventilation measures, the plan asks schools, following their reopening, to keep following the health status of all the staff and students on a daily basis and establish a daily report system.
