The State Council has agreed to add six precursor chemicals to the Catalog of Classification and Types of Precursor Chemicals affiliated with China’s Regulation on the Administration of Precursor Chemicals, according to communication sent to related departments.

The chemicals added to Category II are: methyl alpha-acetylphenylacetate, alpha-phenylacetoacetamide, 3,4-MDP-2-P methyl glycidic acid and 3,4-MDP-2-P methyl glycidate and those added to Category III are benzyl cyanide and gamma-butyrolactone.
