The government should align efforts in consolidating and expanding poverty alleviation achievements with rural vitalization endeavors, according to a recent official reply from the State Council on approval of a high-quality development plan for Bijie, in Southwest China’s Guizhou province.
The circular, released on June 30, called for boosting green development, tapping into human resources, and innovating systems and mechanisms to expedite the progress in new types of industrialization, urbanization, agricultural modernization and tourism industrialization, and to build the city of Bijie into a demonstration area with prosperous lives, ecological beauty and full vitality.
The provincial government of Guizhou must strengthen organization and leadership in implementation of this plan and formulate detailed measures, the circular said, adding that related departments should offer more guidance to local authorities.
