The State Council approved and issued a new priority list for one-stop government services in 2025, after optimizing two batches of priorities in 2024, according to an official circular released on Jan 16.
The move is aimed at further promoting the normalization, standardization and facilitation of government services, and continuing to improve the satisfaction and sense of fulfillment of enterprises and the public, the circular noted.
For market players, items related to transformation of individual business into enterprises, review and approval of qualified foreign investor opening accounts, transformation of scientific and technological achievements, review and approval of fixed asset investment projects, the registration of new automobiles, and the commencement of construction projects can now be accessed on a one-stop basis.
For individuals, one-stop services will newly include individual startups, marital household registration, foreigners working in China, subsidy application for trade-in of home appliances and mobile phones (2025), subsidy application for trade-in automobiles (2025) and matters related to death.
Services related to review and approval of qualified foreign investor opening accounts mainly include qualification approval and foreign exchange registration. Services for foreigners working in China specifically includes the issuance, alteration and extension of work permits, social insurance registration, professional title evaluation and the issuance, alteration and extension of residence permits.
