BEIJING -- Premier Li Keqiang met with one of China’s most successful and wealthiest entrepreneurs, Ma Yun, who owns Taobao.com.

These photos of Li and Ma’s meeting late last month were released by the Premier’s office on Nov 12. The Premier reiterated that the government plans to issue new policies aimed at spurring youth employment and supporting young entrepreneurs.

Li told Ma, he was touched by the commitment of online sellers who post packages at midnight, in order to receive a five-star rating for service.

Ma said Taobao’s 9-million online shops have created 12 million direct and indirect jobs. His company alone has 25,000 employees. Ma also briefed the Premier the shopping festival on Nov 11.

Li responded that online businesses have created a huge number of jobs with many going to young people, and he said online business is promising, as long as business people can ensure good quality, integrity and fair competition.
