The international community is facing severe challenges from non-traditional security issues - including terrorism, infectious diseases, climate change and disaster management. Premier Li Keqiang made the comments at the 9th East Asia Summit in Nay Pyi Taw.

He said China supports the summit’s aim to release a declaration or statement to demonstrate the member countries’ determination to promote cooperation on these challenges.
