There is freedom and safety of navigation on the South China Sea despite existing disputes, Premier Li Keqiang said in a speech at the 17th ASEAN-China Summit in Nay Pyi Taw, capital of Myanmar, on Nov 13.

The Premier said China and ASEAN members are close neighbors who share common interests, but it is not uncommon for differences to exist between them.
