Premier Li Keqiang sent his best wishes live via video link on the occasion of the opening of the top IT business fair CeBIT 2015, in Hanover, Germany.

A new round of technological and industrial revolution is unfolding and quite a few countries have put forward development strategies in the new situation, Premier Li said in the video clip.

Based on the national conditions and stage of development, the Chinese government has put forward a “Made in China 2025” strategy, which will serve as a roadmap for the development of the manufacturing industry in China for the next 10 years, Li said.

There will be greater potential and bigger room for cooperation between China and Germany to develop and utilize networked, digital and intelligent technologies, Li added.

Li pointed out that the theme of CeBIT 2015 fits well with the new demands for innovation cooperation between China and Germany. As the partner country of CeBIT 2015, China is willing to initiate the year of Sino-German innovation cooperation in 2015, which will complement the Industry 4.0 strategy of Germany, Li said.

China is willing to promote the in-depth development of Sino-German relations and cooperation and jointly unlock potential for win-win cooperation and common prosperity between the two countries, the Premier said.

China is the official partner country of CeBIT 2015, and Vice-Premier Ma Kai and German Chancellor Angela Merkel attended the opening ceremony on March 15 — and also gave a keynote speech.

Merkel welcomed Chinese companies participating in the fair, saying China’s role as the partner country is an essential aspect of German-Sino innovation cooperation.

“China is not only the biggest trade partner (for Germany) outside Europe, but also a partner in developing complex technologies,” she said.

Jack Ma Yun, founder of Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba, also gave a speech, focusing on the development of Internet companies and future trends of information and communication technology. He also said that the visions and dreams behind the technology will change the world.

“We are sure that the whole world in next 30 years will be changed,” Ma said. “If the first and the second innovation of the technology revolution liberated human strength and physical strength, this revolution liberates the strength of human brain.”

About 3,300 companies from 70 countries and regions — including more than 760 companies from China — are expected to showcase thousands of innovations from the digital world at CeBIT, the world’s leading trade fair for information and communication technology, which will last until March 20.
