Premier Li Keqiang stressed convenience and food security during a visit to a food market in Chengdu, Sichuan province, on April 26.

At Yimin food market, Premier Li inspected some pilot projects for domestic trade circulation reform and inquired about the supply and price of agricultural products.

Food comes first for the people, and so does safety of food. You should offer people convenience and safe foods through innovation of the selling mode, Premier Li said.

He made the comments during his visit to Yimin food market, which is exploring the “Internet Plus” mode that enables people to order vegetables online. The market also set up free pesticide-residue-testing stations.
