Premier meets foreign leaders attending intl horticultural expo

Premier Li Keqiang met with Kyrgyzstan's First Vice-Prime Minister Kubatbek Boronov, Azerbaijan's Deputy Prime Minister Hajibala Abutalybov, and Cambodia's Deputy Prime Minister Hor Namhong on Oct 9 in Beijing.

The foreign leaders are in Beijing to attend the closing ceremony of the Beijing International Horticultural Exhibition.

The Premier hailed the amity between China and Kyrgyzstan while meeting with Boronov, saying that reciprocal visits between the heads of the two countries had injected a new driving force into bilateral relations.

Moreover, they always support each other regarding issues of the other's core interests, and China is willing to increase trade volume and deepen cooperation with Kyrgyzstan in investment and other areas to push forward bilateral ties, the Premier said.

Boronov said Kyrgyzstan pays great attention to deepening the comprehensive strategic partnership with China, and is willing to increase high-level exchanges between the two countries, further expand trade and investment cooperation, and make things convenient for Chinese investors.

While meeting Abutalybov, Premier Li said that since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Azerbaijan, the two countries have been cooperating in line with the principle of mutual respect, equality and mutual benefits, moving the bilateral ties forward steadily.

"China supports Azerbaijan to choose a development path consistent with its national circumstances, and is willing to live on friendly terms with Azerbaijan with win-win cooperation to achieve mutual development," said Premier Li.

According to Abutalybov, Azerbaijan highly values its relations with China and firmly adheres to the one-China policy. Azerbaijan is willing to consolidate its friendship with China and actively participate in the joint construction of the Belt and Road Initiative to achieve more mutual benefits and win-win results.

While talking with Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister Hor Namhong, Premier Li said China and Cambodia are friendly neighbors and both sides always uphold the principle of mutual respect and noninterference in other countries' internal affairs in international relations.

China, Premier Li said, is willing to consolidate its friendship with Cambodia, promote the bilateral free trade negotiations and an early conclusion of comprehensive economic partnership, and push forward consultation on the code of conduct in the South China Sea to jointly safeguard regional peace, stability, and prosperity.

Hailing the lasting friendship between China and Cambodia, Hor Namhong said the action plan signed by the two sides to build a community of shared destiny will carry forward their strategic partnership.

"It will deepen co-building of the Belt and Road Initiative," he said, adding that Cambodia will work with China to sign a free-trade agreement as soon as possible.

The foreign state leaders also congratulated China on the 70th anniversary of its founding, and highly praised China's remarkable development achievements.
