BEIJING — Premier Li Keqiang on Nov 7 urged efforts to consolidate agricultural foundation, ensure the supply of major agricultural products and keep prices stable.
China's agriculture has maintained overall stable production, and the country is bound to have a bumper harvest of grains this year, according to a statement released after a State Council executive meeting chaired by Premier Li.
The country is also speeding up the implementation of measures to restore hog production and keep the production of major agricultural products stable.
