Premier Li Keqiang, together with President David Malpass of World Bank, Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva of International Monetary Fund, Deputy Director-General Alan Wolff of World Trade Organization, Director-General Guy Ryder of International Labor Organization, Secretary-General Angel Gurría of Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, and Chairman Randal K. Quarles of Financial Stability Board, took part in the fourth "1+6" Roundtable in Beijing on Nov 21.
Under the theme of "Promoting Openness, Stability and High Quality Development of the World Economy", they exchanged views on issues regarding the prospects of and responses to the world economy, promoting the reform of global governance, improving business environment and furthering opening-up, among others.
Premier Li said the world economy is undergoing profound and complicated changes, and the slowing global economic growth has impacted the global industrial chain and international division of labor, along with a rise of protectionism.
How to maintain the stable growth of world economy concerns the benefits and futures of people throughout the world, he said.
He hoped that the dialogue will help consolidate consensuses, boost confidence and deepen cooperation to obtain a lasting, stable and healthy development of the world economy.
