Premier Li Keqiang engaged in a phone call with Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov on March 18.

Premier Li highly values the development of China-Bulgaria ties, saying both sides are battling the COVID-19 epidemic.

He said China is willing to strengthen exchanges of experience, provide Bulgaria with assistance in its capacity, and help Bulgaria in purchasing medical equipment from China through commercial channels.

China believes that a global victory in fighting against COVID-19 will come in due time with international cooperation strengthened, Premier Li added.

Borisov spoke highly of China’s efforts on epidemic prevention and control and extended his gratitude for China’s help in Bulgaria’s fight against the epidemic. He also expressed hope for continuous support from China to enhance anti-epidemic cooperation and further improve bilateral ties between the two countries.

Wang Yi, state councilor and foreign minister, and He Lifeng, head of the National Development and Reform Commission, also attended the event.
