Premier Li Keqiang held a phone conversation with Algerian Prime Minister Abdelaziz Djerad on March 31.
Premier Li said Algeria's donation of medical supplies in China's early fight against the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) reflected the firm friendship between the two countries in wealth and woe.
As the epidemic is spreading in the Middle East, Algeria is facing increasing challenges, he added.
Standing firmly with Algeria, China is willing to offer support within its capacity and share the experience of COVID-19 prevention and control, Premier Li said.
China would like to work with Algeria on promoting construction of major cooperative projects, and believes that China-Algeria cooperation in all fields will be lifted to a new stage after winning the battle against the epidemic, the Premier added.
Djerad said that countries around the globe should strengthen multilateral cooperation against the outbreak of COVID-19.
He said that Algeria fully praises the efforts China made during the epidemic prevention and appreciates China's sincere assistance, and hoped that China will continue the support in epidemic prevention supplies, equipment, and medical treatments.
Algeria is content with the China-Algeria all-around strategic partnership, and is willing to propel bilateral cooperation in major projects, he added.
Foreign Minister Wang Yi also participated.
