Premier Li Keqiang talked with Mongolian Prime Minister Luvsannamsrai Oyun-Erdene by phone on April 7.

Premier Li highly praised China-Mongolia relations and said China is willing to maintain strategic communications with Mongolia and expand pragmatic cooperation on the basis of good-neighborliness, equality, and mutual benefits.

According to the Premier, the two sides should strengthen cooperation in epidemic prevention and control, work toward faster recovery of border port shipments, ensure smooth progress in large cooperation projects, and push the bilateral ties to new heights.

Environment issues have no borders, Premier Li said, adding that China is willing to work with Mongolia in environment protection and sand control and management.

Currently, the foundations to support recovery of the Chinese economy are coming together, Premier Li said.

As China’s economy becomes deeply integrated into the global economy, China will keep close tabs on global economic trends, he said.

Meanwhile, China will build a better business environment, further vitalize market entities to keep its economy stably running within a reasonable range and maintain long-term good prospects.

That will also create opportunities for China-Mongolia cooperation, and bring more benefits to the two peoples, Premier Li added.

Oyun-Erdene said Mongolia is committed to developing long-term good-neighborly and friendly relations with China, and supports regional economic cooperation and green development.

Mongolia is willing to join China to strengthen and advance their link in strategies, deepen cooperation in the fight against COVID-19, border trade and environment protection, promote bilateral cooperation in major projects, and continuously enrich the Mongolia-China comprehensive strategic partnership, he said.

He Lifeng, head of the National Development and Reform Commission, also participated.
