BEIJING — China will remain committed to the path of peaceful development and State policy of reform and opening-up, Premier Li Keqiang said on Sept 30.
Premier Li made the remarks when meeting with 41 newly-appointed ambassadors and an institution's representative to China at the Great Hall of the People.
He welcomed the new envoys to China and conveyed his greetings and wishes to leaders of relevant countries and the institution. He noted that China is willing to strengthen exchanges, enhance mutual trust, deepen cooperation, and achieve development with relevant sides.
The Premier promised that the Chinese government would provide the envoys with convenience and support for their work in China and voiced the hope that they could work on deepening the friendship and cooperation between their countries and China.
"China will continue to follow the path of peaceful development, adhere to the basic State policy of reform and opening-up, and remain committed to deepening mutually beneficial cooperation," Premier Li said. He pointed out that no matter how the international situation changes, China will only open its door wider.
The envoys conveyed their congratulations on the 73rd founding anniversary of the People's Republic of China (PRC) and heartfelt greetings to Chinese leaders and people.
They said relevant sides attached great importance to relations with China and expressed their willingness to work for bilateral relations development and improving people's well-being during their tenures.
The new envoys were invited to attend the grand reception arranged to celebrate the 73rd founding anniversary of the PRC after the meeting.
