The threshold of individual tax reform has been raised from 3,500 to 5,000 yuan with deduction in education, medical care, elderly care, and housing, said Premier Li Keqiang at the 17th National Congress of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions (ACFTU) on Oct 24.

Premier Li said the reform concerns the interests of the general public and social equality, and he pressed related departments to bring reform dividends to more ordinary workers.
