Premier Li Keqiang encouraged makers to strive to grow from small teams to gazelle companies and even unicorn ones, at a maker space in Xi'an, Shaanxi province, on Oct 15.
As the largest incubator park in the Xi'an High-tech Industrial Development Zone, the Xi'an Pioneering Community is home to more than 400 entrepreneurial teams. Premier Li talked with makers there and asked them what policy support they need the most.
One said that he hopes there will be more venture capital funds to provide financing support for small and micro enterprises. The Premier immediately asked a person in charge to do research for creating a better ecology of entrepreneurship and innovation, and encouraging various venture capital funds to provide financing support.
Another maker engaged in 3D printing said the approval procedure for industrial product licensing is too complicated. The Premier then asked related departments to further simplify the approval procedures for industrial product licenses, making it easier for innovative products to enter the market.
