Premier Li Keqiang inspected Zhengzhou University on Nov 4, in Central China’s Henan province, and learned about its efforts to build a first-class resource material discipline.

The Premier heard a report from the engineering research center and held in-depth exchanges with academicians on several key technical issues.

He encouraged scientists to be persistent and make breakthroughs that meet international advanced standards.

He also talked with students and encouraged them to study hard.

After learning that one-third of the students are from other provinces, the Premier said Zhengzhou University should try to gain influence nationwide and strive to be a province with outstanding talents, in order to play a bigger role in boosting the development of Central China.
