In disease control and prevention, Henan now should not only make huge efforts against the COVID-19 pandemic, but also ensure no major outbreak of infectious disease occurs after the recent flood, Premier Li Keqiang said while visiting the center for disease control and prevention in Zhengzhou, capital of Central China’s Henan province, on Aug 19. He learned about their COVID-19 prevention and control and precautions against flood-caused epidemics across the province.

The Premier extended his respect for doctors at the center for sticking to their posts on Medical Workers Day, a Chinese holiday that falls on Aug 19 every year, as well as for their counterparts across the country.
