Premier Li to meet with Central, Eastern European leaders

Premier Li Keqiang has arrived in Belgrade for a leaders’ meeting with Central and Eastern European countries, and an official visit to Serbia.

Li was greeted at Belgrade airport by the Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic, and said the lasting friendship between the two nations originated from their consistent and mutual support for each other.

Premier Li will also meet with the Serbian president, and attend a ceremony to mark the completion of a Chinese-built bridge across the river Danube in Belgrade. He will also witness the signing of a series of governmental accords and business contracts.

During his stay in Serbia, Premier Li will attend the third leaders’ meeting of China and Central and Eastern European countries to enhance cooperation. Li is the first Chinese premier to visit Serbia in 28 years.
