Premier meets world leaders on sidelines of ASEM Meeting

Premier Li Keqiang has also met with leaders from South Korea, France, Latvia and Finland on the sidelines of the summit in Milan.

During his meeting with South Korean President Park Geun-hye, the two leaders pledged to promote economic and trade cooperation with the focus on a free trade agreement.

Li also met with French President Francois Hollande. They vowed to further deepen bilateral ties and expand cooperation. Li said China stands ready to work with France to build greater mutual trust through high-level dialogue mechanisms in fields such as the economy, finance and people-to-people exchanges.

In his meeting with Latvian President Andris Berzins, Premier Li called for joint efforts to maintain sound momentum of bilateral relations and expand cooperation in high-speed railways, the processing agricultural products and cultural exchanges.

Talking to Finnish Prime Minister Alexander Stubb, Premier Li called for greater two-way trade and cooperation in technological innovation, environmental protection and communications.
