Premier meets with Russian president on cooperation

Premier Li Keqiang met with Russian President Vladimir Putin at the Kremlin on Nov 29, pledging to work with Moscow to promote regional cooperation for steady progress.

“In the past 10 months, bilateral trade went up by more than 20 percent. This means that cooperation between our countries has a wide prospective and huge potential,” Premier Li said.

“We have already met recently, but it is very good that we have such a stable and constant contact that fully corresponds with the level of our strategic partnership,” Putin said.

Premier Li is in Russia to attend the assembly of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, being hold in Sochi on Nov 30 and Dec1. He will meet heads of governments from SCO member nations. These members include China, Russia, India, Pakistan and a number of central Asian countries.
