BEIJING — A new mechanism has been introduced to improve inter-agency coordination between administrative and judicial procedures in handling cases involving work safety crime.

The working measures, jointly issued by the Ministry of Emergency Management (MEA), the Ministry of Public Security, the Supreme People’s Court and the Supreme People’s Procuratorate, were published on the MEA website earlier this week.

The document specified the requirements for the transfer of cases from daily law enforcement or accident investigation procedures, as well as their supervision.

It also put in place a set of mechanisms to regularize cooperation between law enforcement and criminal justice authorities, including strengthening communication in daily work, holding regular joint meetings and consulting each other on their respective expertise.

In addition, the timely online publication of court judgments and rulings were also highlighted in the document.
