BEIJING — Ministry of Public Security on May 20 announced a list of 61 organizations involved in fraud.

The organizations are alleged to have illegally solicited fund under the false pretense of government-sponsored projects and charity projects, the statement said.

It is the second list, following the first which was of 43 organizations and published in February, since police across the country launched a six-month operation against such frauds.

The ministry called on citizens not to fall for fraudulent schemes and pledged a severe crackdown on such crimes.
