State Councilor and Defense Minister Wei Fenghe said on April 18 that China and Pakistan have an all-weather strategic partnership.

He made the remarks while meeting with Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi, Chief of the Naval Staff of Pakistan in Beijing.

“The Chinese military is willing to work with the Pakistan military to build a community with a shared future for humanity,” Wei said.

“The Chinese army would like to strengthen pragmatic communication and cooperation with its Pakistan counterpart to continuously improve the ability to handle various security risks and challenges and provide strong security for the Belt and Road Initiative, thus making positive contributions to regional and world peace and stability,” he added.

Abbasi also showed his willingness to promote the continuous and in-depth development of relations between the two countries and the two armed forces.

“Pakistan is willing to make joint efforts with China to deepen communication and cooperation on high-level contacts, real combat training, equipment and technology,” Abbasi said.
