Wei Fenghe, state councilor and defense minister, met with Meas Sophea, commander in chief of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces and deputy chief of the Royal Cambodian Army, in Beijing on April 25.

Wei affirmed the cross-border bond between China and Cambodia, and extended an invitation for further military cooperation as they mark the 60th anniversary of diplomatic ties, in a bid to maintain prolonged stability and well-being for the people in the two adjacent nations.

Meas echoed Wei and said that Cambodia also attaches great importance to advancing military cooperation with China in expectation of further development of an all-around China-Cambodia strategic cooperative partnership.
