BEIJING — Vice-Premier Han Zheng on July 26 called for efforts to forge synergy between the education campaign themed “staying true to our founding mission” of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and economic work.
Han, also a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, made the remarks at a symposium regarding the campaign at the National Development and Reform Commission.
He urged attaching equal importance to the campaign and regular work and stressed the need to do a solid job in driving economic and social development in the second half of this year.
More should be done to develop new ways to improve macro regulation and ensure stable employment, a stable financial sector, stable foreign trade, stable foreign investment, stable domestic investment and stable expectations, Han said.
He called for stimulating the development of a robust domestic market, maintaining stable economic growth, energizing market entities through deepening reform and opening-up, and solid implementation of the country’s major regional strategies to create more new growth engines.
