Vice-premier joins deliberations of NPC deputies from Shaanxi

Vice-Premier Han Zheng, also a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, joined deputies from Shaanxi province in group deliberations at the third session of the 13th National People's Congress (NPC).

After listening to the deputies’ discussions, Han said he fully supported the Government Work Report.

In 2019, domestic economic development remained stable and healthy, building a decisive foundation for achieving a moderately prosperous society in all aspects, and the fight against COVID-19 has made an outstanding success, he said.

Han underlined efforts to coordinate epidemic containment and economic and social development, and obtain the goal of building a moderately prosperous society in all aspects.

He also urged work to ensure stable performance in employment, finance, foreign trade, foreign investment, domestic investment, and market expectations, and to carry out tasks in employment, people's livelihoods, the development of market entities, food and energy security, and stable operation of industrial and supply chains, as well as smooth functioning at the community level.

Besides, more measures should be taken to deepen reform and expand opening-up to solve difficulties facing development, and create bigger room for the development of market entities.

Han spoke highly of achievements made by Shaanxi, and expected Shaanxi to stride forward in high-quality economic development, forge an inland high ground of reform and opening-up, make continuous improvements in ecological environment, and better improve people’s livelihoods.
