BEIJING — Vice-Premier Han Zheng on July 14 stressed effective delivery of policies for the country to achieve the goal of building a moderately prosperous society in all respects this year.
Han, also a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, made the remarks during a symposium at the National Development and Reform Commission, the country's top economic planner.
China has made notable progress in coordinating the control of the COVID-19 epidemic as well as social and economic development, Han said, calling on authorities to keep a clear head and fine-tune policies to achieve development goals.
Authorities should focus on solving problems and achieving concrete results while making policies, Han said, calling for better coordination in macro policies to push for resumption of work in the entire supply chain.
He also called for efforts to boost domestic demand and keep employment stable.
