BEIJING — Vice-Premier Han Zheng on Dec 15 called for unremitting efforts to push forward environmental protection inspections.
Efforts should be made to coordinate high-quality economic growth and environmental protection, Han said while chairing a meeting on environmental protection inspections.
The country has "zero tolerance" for acts that damage the environment and will speed up the improvement of its ecology to meet people's growing needs for a better environment, he said.
Inspections of environmental protection should be carried out in accordance with related laws and regulations, Han said.
